Ceviche Book Tour – Aldeburgh, 1st July – Preview

17 Jun

REALLY fresh fish, cooked in ways that you’d never thought about, with vibrant and surprising flavours.. all in the setting of unspoilt Suffolk Seaside. Sounds pretty good to me. You too? Good! Then the Ceviche Book Tour is something you need to look up.

Having researched and perfected Peruvian recipes and flavours, Soho based Ceviche are taking their style of cooking across the UK to promote their new cook book, Ceviche Peruvian Kitchen, and to enlighten us on Peruvian cuisine.

Cevichebooktour

On 1st July, the first stop will be at the White Lion Hotel in Aldeburgh, where dishes will be made from same-day caught fish, thanks to Aldeburgh Fishmonger Dean Fryer (cool name – Fryer.. Fish.. get it?! Ok..) and served as three courses in a pop up restaurant at the White Lion Hotel. The menu will be created by Martin Morales, Founder and Author of Ceviche Peruvian Kitchen, and his head chef Tomasz Baranski, for 35 people to savour.

For those of you who (like me!!) love to get involved and learn, you have an option to take part in a masterclass on how to cook Ceviche’s award winning seabass dish ‘Don Ceviche’ (pictured below) during a one hour masterclass for 12 people. Utensils and ingredients will be provided, and you will be given a printed copy of the recipe to take home and tuck into that favourite recipe book for safe keeping.

To find out more about the Aldeburgh event, and for details about booking tickets, visit the Aldeburgh event page on Ceviche’s website.. The tour is heading all over the UK, and will make stops to include Great British Menu contestants, Japanese cuisine experts, and Rick Steins restaurant in Padstow (love him..!), so make sure you get down to it’s Suffolk stop on 1st July.
